The six apartments (from 42 to 74 square meters) built in the complex that dates back to the middle of the 1800, composed of two adjacent parts of possibly different dates: the living quarters of the farmer on the first floor, the cellar was used to produce, age the wine and other farm products on the ground floor; the other part, on the west side was used as a stable for cows with a hay-loft.
Due to the impossibility of recovering it’s original function, in the 2004 the building was completely restored by the La Torre farm owners and destined to the reception activity.
With elegant furnished in the Tuscan rural style, the apartments have an independent entrance as well as a table placed outside, heating, Sat television, a comfortable couch-bed and some with a fireplace.
In the east side of the building there is a terraces, where you can relax under the shade of the trees or you can enjoy a meal prepared in the barbecue.
To the west side there is another barbecue and also you find the old “limonaia” whih small play area for children, a table football and other games for adults, maps and brochures freely available.
In front of the lodge you can find different places to seat and enjoy the view of the Lima Valley or bring your kids to the playground.
Four of them are called “ALLOGGIO” and have got a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchenette;
The other two are called “CASA” and have an area of over 70 square meters with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a large living room and a kitchen.
ALLOGGIO ANTICO (48 sq.m. – people 2+2)
On the ground floor, in the southeast corner’s building, it’s accessible by a “terrace” court with veranda and barbecue.
In the bedroom there is a carved wooden fireplace of the ‘700 and the original English fixtures carryng overnight in the history of a bygone era.
ALLOGGIO IL FIENILE (51 sq.m. – people 2+2)
It consists of ground floor, formerly used as a cattle barn and today living room with fireplace and kitchenette, and first floor, where the barn has given way to the bedroom and bath. The bedroom contains a characteristic window (mandolato), which stands over the bed and evokes romantic situations.
ALLOGGIO ALL’AIA (43 sq.m. – people 2+2)
Obtained from the old wine cellar, where long ago farmers used to step on the grapes to produce wine, this apartment is characterized by the ancient ceiling made of wood and brick work, the original arches of the cellar and the glass-door that overlooks the courtyard create in this small apartment a great atmosphere.
ALLOGGIO A VALLE (49 sq.m. – people 2+2)
The ancient wine cellar has turned into this rustic apartment, directly overlooking the “terrace” garden in front of the building.
Fully accessible for people with disabilities, the apartment is characterized by the ancient stone door and by the arches made of bricks, that, brought back to their beauty, exalts the original structure of the ancient wine cellar.
CASA AL COLLE (71 sq.m. – people 4+2)
The wide bedrooms of the ancient farmer’s house have changed into a large apartment with two twin bedrooms.
The living-room and one of the bedrooms are characterized by the original fireplaces that used to heat the ancient bedrooms during the coldest night in a time far away.
From each of the numerous windows you can admire the beauty of the landscape, with the Lima valley on the south side and the thermal hills on the east side.
CASA AL RIO (74 sq.m. – people 5+2)
Obtained from the living-room of the ancient farmer’s house, the apartment is characterized by the original glass window that fills the living-room with light, by the fireplace restructured in its ancient form, and the outside table under typical “pergola” of grapes.The small kitchen is in contrast to the large living room which gives access to two bedrooms, one double and a triple, with a central bathroom.
